International students come together during the Table Tennis Tournament.
On November 14, international students of KNRTU-KAI from 7 countries together with the team of German-Russian Institute of Advanced Technologies competed in the Table Tennis Tournament held at KAI-Olympus Sports Complex.
Table Tennis became an Olympic Sport not so long ago – in 1988, and its popularity is still growing. No wonder that that "KAI-Zilant" sports club and the Office of International Affairs decided to organize the table tennis championship for the second year in a row and the number of participants has grown since last year’s event.
This year’s winners are listed below:
Men’s Division:
- 1st – Marat Yalalov
- 2nd – Sadegh Amirzadegan
- 3rd – Liu Geng
Sadegh Amirzadegan, a graduate student from Iran: "I have been studying at KNRTU-KAI for 5 years, but this is the first time I am competing in a table tennis tournament, I wish I’ve taken part in previous year’s tournament as well. I am looking forward to more sport events like this one!"
Women’s division results:
- 1st – Alexandra Lara
- 2nd – Daria Kostyunina
