International Cooperation In Higher Education

The Association of leading universities of Russia held a roundtable at KNRTU-KAI.

On Tuesday, February 5, the Association of leading universities convened a round table “Topical Issues of Internationalization and Development of International Cooperation of Leading Universities” based on the German-Russian Institute of Advanced Technologies (GRIAT) KNRTU-KAI. The discussion was attended by heads of universities of Kazan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tomsk, Arkhangelsk, Perm, and Ilmenau (Germany).

 

The purpose of the meetings was how to identify and share the best practices in the field of higher education and science of the two countries.

 

 

The results of the meeting were announced by Sergey Andrushin, Deputy Rector for International Affairs, St. Petersburg State University:

- One of the key problems is the recognition of an education certificate. Further, the question of the balance of joint educational programs, that is, it is necessary to ensure the participation of not only Russian students, but also foreign ones. You also need to work out the issues of online education, admission and transfer of foreign students. The working group will draw up methodological recommendations on the creation and implementation of joint educational programs, which will later be sent to government agencies.

According to Sergey Vladimirovich, it is the German direction that is the most active in Russian universities.
